This fall, Makers Move - Manitoba was invited by the co-ordinators of Etsy Markets MB, to attend Manitoba's "Etsy - Made in Canada" sale, which took place on Saturday, September 26th at the Neeginan Centre in Winnipeg. “Etsy: Made in Canada is our biggest event of the year, taking our online experience offline, to connect sellers, communities and buyers in person,” said Erin Green, Managing Director, Etsy Canada. “With Winnipeg and 32 other cities participating across the country this year, we couldn’t be prouder of Canada’s commitment to shopping local and supporting its maker communities.”
Visitors to the marketplace had the chance to shop the 70+ local Etsy sellers ready to showcase their handmade wares and vintage goods. Vendors come from all across Manitoba, and also includes a few of our neighbors from North Western Ontario.
Both myself - social media Mandy, and blogger Brandy attended together and we had a wonderful time meeting with many local hand-makers and a few vintage vendors as well. There was a fabulous free booth set up by Michales where children could create Halloween themed crafts as well.
