Local Etsy Sellers

Today, "Etsy" has become a word that most people know, but what many don't know is that this province of ours is home to many Etsy sellers who not only sell their handmade products in their own little shops in the online Etsy marketplace, but many of these Etsy sellers also gather together for real life craft sales right here in Manitoba!

This fall, Makers Move - Manitoba was invited by the co-ordinators of Etsy Markets MB, to attend Manitoba's "Etsy - Made in Canada" sale, which took place on Saturday, September 26th at the Neeginan Centre in Winnipeg. “Etsy: Made in Canada is our biggest event of the year, taking our online experience offline, to connect sellers, communities and buyers in person,” said Erin Green, Managing Director, Etsy Canada. “With Winnipeg and 32 other cities participating across the country this year, we couldn’t be prouder of Canada’s commitment to shopping local and supporting its maker communities.”

Visitors to the marketplace had the chance to shop the 70+ local Etsy sellers ready to showcase their handmade wares and vintage goods. Vendors come from all across Manitoba, and also includes a few of our neighbors from North Western Ontario.
Both myself - social media Mandy, and blogger Brandy attended together and we had a wonderful time meeting with many local hand-makers and a few vintage vendors as well. There was a fabulous free booth set up by Michales where children could create Halloween themed crafts as well.

In addition the Etsy Made in Canada sales, the Winnipeg Etsy Street team also puts on some fabulous events in Winnipeg. This Saturday, you will have the opportunity to shop from 46 local Etsy sellers of handcrafted wares and curated vintage collections at the Winnipeg Etsy Street Team sale.

Buyers can expect to find items found on Etsy like handmade soap, pottery, hand-bound books, jewellery, vintage housewares and collectibles, subversive embroidery, autumn & holiday accessories, children's items and lots more. Perfect for filling your Christmas Shopping list!
