Showcase Saturday - apple cider from Crampton Made

Today's Showcase Saturday product is locally sourced apple cider from Crampton Made.

Crampton Made uses only spray free Manitoba apples that they crush until they cry cider. Then the cider is passed through Manitoba's first UV processor which pasteurizes the cider with light, instead of heat . The UV pasteurization process means Crampton Made's cider is still a raw product and is perfect for smoothies, heated up on a cold day, served cold on a warm day, or mixed in a cocktail on a fun day. Best of all a two litre jug of this fabulous cider is only $14.49 each.

(Above Norah Johnston) This Apple Cider was KID APPROVED by one of Makers Move Kids.
Crampton Made cider is available for purchase at Crampton's Market, GJ Andrews, and Petrasko garden center as well as being served at Chew Restaurant, Prairie Ink Cafe and Across the Board. The fabulous owners of Crampton Made and their delicious cider will be showcased at the Scattered Seeds craft sale, as well as the December Third and Bird Craft sale.

Business Profile:

Business Name:      Crampton Made

Tag Line:               We Make Good Food

Owners:        Erin Crampton, Marc DeGagne and Jaycee Catt

How Did They Start:

Erin Crampton and Marc DeGagne are the owners of Crampton’s Market. When they couldn’t find locally produced items, they started producing some themselves. They started with salsa and pickles, then started making cookies for their bakery and scratch pumpkin pies!

As the retail business grew, so did demand for their handmade foods with wholesale queries coming in! Things were getting out of control! They needed help!

Lucky for them they had been smart enough to hire the very fine Jaycee Catt at the market. Jaycee has a degree in culinary arts, a taste for fine food, and an entrepreneurial spirit.

A partnership was struck and Crampton Made was created.

Jaycee heads up production, gathering and leading the kitchen crew though production of everything from pickled asparagus to pressed apple cider. Jaycee has a taste for great food, and knows her way around a commercial kitchen.

Erin and Marc handle the ingredient sourcing, logistics, accounting and test marketing the goodies to their retail customers.
