Welcome to Makers Move  Manitoba

The purpose of this blog is to promote anything made in Manitoba which includes anything handmade or homegrown.  We hope to inspire folks to shop local and support the many talented makers who make up our wonderful community.
We offer a variety opportunities for makers/growers to grow their businesses. 
If you are a consumer and love to buy local then this the place for you too. Makers Move is connected to many local makers and growers so we will be able connect you with what you are looking for. 

We whole heartedly believe; " When you buy something made by a person, there is something special there, and you do feel it. The consciousness with which a thing is made is often more important than the thing itself". We guess that is why grandma keeps all those handmade Valentines you gave her.

In order to ensure that we do our best to spread the word of this fabulous community, we have developed an online presence on both facebook and Instagram. Please be sure to check them out and like and share them to help us continue to grow the community.
     Makers Move Manitoba is the brain child of Mandy Johnston and Brandy Sylvestre two of Manitoba's Creative Communit. We wanted to create a place to showcase the MANY incredibly talented makers and growers that we meet in Manitoba. We are passionate about connecting local artisans, hand-makers, crafters, and farmers with each other as well as a new stream of local customers and admirers.

To mark the Launch of this Blog we wanted to do something fun and unique, so we decided to organize a photo shoot in rural Manitoba, with photos displaying products from various local artisans as well as some local produce from St-Leons Gardens. The photos were taken by the ever so talented Kelly Allison Photography and the location for the shoot was the enchanting Blacknot Farm.
